I'm back in the saddle again!

Well, Michelle is having trouble finding me a helmet, but I convinced her to just let me ride around in the driveway a little. I'm getting the hang of it-I didn't wreck once today! The lovely Doug is our assistant.

My New Dress

I wanted a patriotic dress for the 4th of July, so Michelle made this for me. She's not happy with the stars on the bodice, but I like it.
Look! We found goldfish in the little pond at Mingus Park today. They've obviously been there for awhile, look how big they are.

We also found this mushroom growing in a mole hill. Michelle only knows that mushrooms are fungus, but she has not idea what type this is, so we will just assume it is poisonous & leave it there.
And now for a moment of zen...

Kitchen Gardening

Michelle's kitchen windowsill is full of African Violets. They will even re-bloom for her! Here is one that is blooming for the 2nd or 3rd time. I like this one they are kinda ruffly looking.
She also has one lone fern. She really likes ferns, but doesn't have a lot of luck with them. BTW, for those who witnessed my spectacular motorcycle wreck from yesterday, I'm just fine...but Michelle says no more motorcycle until I get a helmet.

Ashleigh's New Forms of Transportation

Michelle got me this cool new skateboard with Winnie the Pooh on it, but what I really like is my motorcycle! Check out the video below...

A Lovely Visit to Mingus Park

It was a beautiful morning, so I went to Mingus Park with Michelle today for her walk. The Asian Irises are in full bloom & are just gorgeous! And they come in a variety of colors, this one is a lovely lavender.
The dark purple ones are quite comfortable! They're pretty too.

I also like the lilac & yellow ones. The centers are just the right size for my little bear bottom.

The medium purle and white ones are just perfect for relaxing and watching the clouds scud by.

The white and yellow ones are sooo pretty.

Then I found a great little place by a dead stum with ferns and buttercups. I bet I could build a great fort here!

There's a perfect depression in the joint of this tree that just fits me.

These flowers are called Foxglove. They are both poisonous & medication (Digitalis). But don't try to use them yourself, you'll end up poisoning yourself.

See How Our Garden Grows!

We got baby apples...most are this size, a few are smaller. But, we've got lots of them!
Michelle likes Gerbera Daisies. I like this color.

Check out the nasturtiums! They are starting to go hog wild.

The tomatoes are blooming!

The mini squash has taken off too! This will be interesting to see how it does in the planter.

It was a good day to race!

Today was a great day at the races. Here I am in the cockpit while Gregg & Riley tinker with her car. Check out her new numbers & letters! Today is Gregg's birthday & he had the traditional birthday luck at the track & got first place in the Pro division! Riley got 2nd in the Jr Dragsters, so it really was a good day all the way around. And, in other big news, Gregg & Michelle's niece Nicole had her baby yesterday!!! So a warm welcome to Treasure-Rose Marybeth Allison Machele Kirby-Norris!

Look what's growing at our house

The apple tree is growing apples...
The nasturtium seeds are sprouting...

Look, there's more!

A planter full of marigolds is always bright & cheerful.

And a small pond full of tadpoles is full of fun activity.
