A Gaggle of Turkeys

Or is a flock of turkeys...maybe a herd of turkeys. Anyway I met these turkeys while they are in the process of fleeing. They go into hiding this time every year & don't come out until after Christmas. Apparently, this is a dangerous time of year to be a turkey.

Time for Lunch!

MMMMM, time for lunch. Two types of honey and some apples sound just right for a little blue bear.
Uh oh, do you supposed this clown bear will want some of my lunch? He is a cute little guy & I do have more than enough apples & two jars of honey. Guess I'll be polite & offer to share.

Lunch is more fun w/a friend. Clown bear is apparently just passing through. He's enroute to Michelle's mom's house to live. She collects clowns & he feels he'll be appreciated there.

Michelle Finishes Projects weekend

Michelle was trying to organize all her craft stuff & found some of the yarn from the yarn store gift certificate. Introducing my new sister Rose, who was made from some of that yarn. She's very soft & smaller than me even when she's standing up.
The two dolls on the end were bodies that Michelle made a long time ago. She decided to finish the poor dears. She calls them "art" dolls. The doll next to me started out as a porcelain shoulder head & hands. Michelle made her a body & the arms are jointed. She'll either become an angel for Christmas, or Maria Poppet for an upcoming book project for an online group Michelle belongs to. I think she'd make a lovely angel personally.

Ashleigh Meets Winnie the Pooh

I was walking along & there he was, Winnie the Pooh! I was so excited, I love his books & movies! He's very handsome in person.
He graciously agreed to a picture with me.

Michelle had introduced me to my two new brothers earlier. The tall one is Evergreen. He wants to be a Christmas tree. Boys are sometimes beyond my comprehension. Little Red is just slightly bigger than me & is a very cheerful bear. He's waiting for his star...whatever that means.

Mr. Pooh even agreed to a picture with all of us! What a gracious, silly, old bear!

Pixie opens an eye! My new dress!

Look at how big the girls are getting! Here they are hard at nursing.

Gracie Lou is such a good mommy dog!

Look how cute Elf is. She is very close to getting her eyes open, you can see she can almost open the right one.

Pixie her left eye open & is working on the right. It's so cute, looks like she is winking at us.

Here is my new dress for November. Michelle felt it was very Thanksgivingy. I like the sparkly bow best!

Happy Halloween!

OOOOHHHHH, spookey jack-0-lanterns in the dark on the front porch.
And here they are still waiting for dark.

Candy & creepy crawlies to hand out to trick or treaters...

Riley's candy stash after trick or treating...

Highness Princess Riley and me getting ready to go trick or treat.
I had a great time on my first Halloween. Riley was sick off & on, but it was still fun.

Meeting the Wicked Witch! And Puppy Update

The puppies are one week old today. Look how much they have grown! They're greedy little gluttons though.
Then while wandering back to my basket I encountered this very interesting lady. She introduced herself as the Witch of the West. She said some people think she's wicked, but she's really not. Apparently, it's just a vicious rumor started by someone named Dorothy and another witch named Glenda.

She showed me some of her magic. Can you believe I'm actually floating!? It was a lot of fun.

We parted as friends & I hope she'll become a frequent visitor.
