Look! It's all painted! Michelle says we'll go to Joann's tomorrow & get flowers for the window boxes...she's got a coupon that's good tomorrow.
And check out the inside! Michelle painted some stands for me to put my bonsai tree on, waiting for them to dry. We're also waiting on the delivery of my china cabinet. And surprise, surprise, Michelle ordered a dining table & chairs for me! I'm going to start moving in very soon!
Michelle just has trim left to paint on the outside of the house. Isn't this a cheery color of yellow?
Here's my side window & window box.
And here is the interior. Just trim in the living room left to paint, the upstairs is done! I love the pink for the downstairs & the upstairs seems so much bigger & brighter with the white paint! Michelle won me a china cabinet today that will look so great downstairs! It's white with painted flowers on it. I can't wait until it arrives!
Michelle got the shingles on & stained & the floors stained tonight! She says we have to wait for tomorrow to do more. The stain has to dry & she wants to give it overnight. I'm thinking white for the 2nd floor to brighten it up since it has no windows & maybe a pale pink with rose trim for the bottom floor.
I think that the outside would look nice a pale yellow with dark yellow trim and maybe orangish accents. I can't wait to move in...Michelle says hopefully by the new year!
Michelle surprised me last night when she showed me the house she was building for me!
She says I've outgrown my basket, so we'll just save that for vacations. I should have enough room here!
She put the roof and front door in this morning.
All that's left to do is shingle the roof, paint inside & out, stain the shingles and floors, and then I can move in! I'm very excited. I've even got two window boxes!
Merry Christmas! Here is my first present this morning.
Wow, what's inside?
How cool is this! It's a Llama! Wow! I always wanted a llama...on to present number two.
Oh wow! A bonsai tree! Hey, llama stay outta the tree.
What cute packages! A panda pail and a sweet little Christmas bear box! Now to check out what's inside.
Oh man! A towel! How pretty & a snowy white!
And in the little box...a silver tea set, a new teapot, and a troll pillow for my bed!
And now my stocking!
Wow! Pretty plates and some plate holders, now I just need a china cabinet.
My last present...what could it be?
A new afghan for my bed! What a great Christmas I had...I hope everyone else had a very Merry Christmas also!
Look! Riley & I went to the Mall this afternoon & met Santa! Riley introduced us-she's met him before-and then she got a candy cane. I got to be in the picture & I whispered to Santa what I wanted for Christmas. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve & we are going to Michelle's sister's house for the evening. We are having a nice ham dinner & opening a few presents from each other to each other, but Michelle says we won't get to open presents from Santa until Christmas morning.
Look! A snowman! I asked him what he was doing here, we don't get many snowmen on the coast. He said he was an advanced scout, he's heard it's been very cold here lately and they wanted it checked out. He's thinking about inviting his snow buddies to join him here. One snowman is very cute, but more than one might just be too cold.
